With the highest number of branches across the country and abroad, it is indeed the most heard name amongst the nationalised banks. In this guide, we will post in detail how to register online for SBI Net Banking. Although there’s the traditional method of registering for net banking, the newer online registration is convenient for many of us today.

While in the former method, you either have to visit your home branch and fill the SBI online banking form and submit over the counter. Alternatively, you can also download the prescribed form from Onlinesbi. Fill the downloaded form and attach your passport photos and submit to the branch where you have an account.

For some of us, you get your SBI net banking kit while opening account. I got mine while opening my Corporate Salary account with SBI back in 2014. But what if you did not get the net banking kit or decide to (or have to) register for SBI Net Banking later on? Fret not! For we are here to help. There are two options.

If you don’t have your SBI Net Banking Kit yet

Head on to and click on New User Registration/Activation under Personal Banking. You will find the link below the “Login” link.

Click OK in the next step. You will need details of your account from this step.

Please note that your mobile number must be registered with your bank account in order to receive OTP as and when necessary. Some details you will need include CIF Number printed on your passbook, date of birth, email, etc. Activation of your SBI Net Banking will be done in a period of 48 hours.
